The current scientific interests involve properties of semiconductor nanostructures studied by means of optical spectroscopic techniques (photoluminescence, absorption, Raman). The reserch is focused on structures like quantum dots and quantum rings of III-V semiconductors and thin epitaxial layers of SiGe or GaAs/SiGe on Si grown by MBE and CVD techiques. Investigated physical aspects involve photoinjected carrier dynamics, electron-phonon interaction, temperature effects and lattice dynamics.
